Expedition
category
Deze jonge category geeft de mogelijkheid om op een meer
toeristische wijze de tocht te beleven. Er is een speciale gids-auto
die kan afwijken van de rally route. De karavaan vertrekt voor de
coureurs. Aan de deelnemers worden eisen gesteld ten aanzien van
apparatuur, voertuig en voorbereiding.
Ultralights
category
Een nieuwe category die wordt ondersteunt door de
Braziliaanse Ultralight Associatie ABUL. Bij deze categorie gaat het
niet om snelheid, maar om te voldoen aan de regels. De vliegtuigjes
worden bestuurd door piloot en navigator en moeten beschikken over
GPS. Kosten
van inschrijving zijn ca. R$ 1500.
