Superb full length collection of digitally mastered classics from this legendary post-punk Manchester band, who between 1980 and 1983 recorded for several labels including New Hormones, Crepuscule and Sordide Sentimental. Showcasing the music and muse of Linder Sterling and Ian Devine. The live cuts were taped at the celebrated Hacienda performance in November 1982 after Dave Formula (ex-Magazine) had joined the band, and overall the CD reveals an unexpected pop edge to the latterday Ludus canon. As well as 73 minutes of music, The Damage also features photography by Benoit Hennebert, a new collage by Linder and sleevenotes by Morrissey.
