Blaine Reininger is one of the creative mainsprings behind the cult left-field band Tuxedomoon. As a solo artist he has recorded some ten solo albums, including Broken Fingers (1982), Night Air (1984), Byzantium (1987), Instrumentals (1989), Radio Moscow (1995) and The More I Learn the Less I Know (2000).
Live in Brussels originally appeared on chic Euro label Les Disques du Crepuscule in 1986. Recorded on stage with a four piece band in February of that year, the powerful set includes versions of several of Blaine's best known solo numbers, including Broken Fingers, Birthday Song and Mystery And Confusion, as well the Tuxedomoon classics What Use? and Volo Vivace. Most surprising of all is his ultraviolent take of Uptown, an extended essay in urban paranoia. Long unavailable, this new remastered edition also includes SIX bonus songs not included on the original issue. The CD now runs for 74 minutes and features extensive sleevenotes.
