OUD NIEUWS: Van Embricqs naar Probuild lIons

LANDSMEER, 15 december - Sandra van Embricqs, een van de beste Nederlandse speelsters ooit, is terug in de vaderlandse competitie. De rest van dit seizoen speelt ze voor ProBuild Lions in Landsmeer. De ex-international speelde in haar imposante loopbaan voor UCLA, diverse Europese topclubs, de Los Angelos Sparks in de WNBA en tot slot twee seizoenen in Israël.
ProBuild trok ook de 22-jarige Nienke van der Zee van Akrides aan, die ondermeer een jaartje in Duitsland speelde.

Sandra is weer werkzaam als onderwijzeres in de USA en voor Basketball geeft ze regelmatig basketball clinics zie: clinics .

Sandra is terug naar the States.

Vorige seizoen Augustus (2002) speelde ze in Nederland nog bij Probuild Lions

Ze is geboren op 14-4-1968 in Suriname en begon haar basketbal
loopbaan in navolgingvan haar zuster bij Red Stars in
Soest. In seizoen 98-99 speelde ze professioneel bij de Los
Angeles Sparks en dit jaar werd ze via de injuredlist bedankt.

Ze heeft gespeeld in Nederland, Spanje, Frankrijk,
Griekenland en Israel.

She is born in Surinam on 14-4-1968 and started her basketball career in Holland with Red Stars of Soest. In the 98-99 season she played professionally for the Los Angeles Sparks and now she's searching a job. She played in the Netherlands, Spain, France, Greece and Israel		she likes nasi., Surinam, her family and L.A.
