Jeff Trachta is a big "I Love Lucy" fan. He even named four of his dogs after characters on the show: Cocker Spaniels Lucy and Ricky, and German Shepherds Fred and Ethel. Unfortunately, Lucy passed away...
Jeff has been friends with Bobbie Eakes for a long time. Fanfare (The Official Bold and the Beautiful Fan Club's newsletter) asked Bobbie: "Is it tough to play fight scenes with Jeff, when you get along so well in real life?" Bobbie: "Oh, we fight in real life, too. It's almost like being married. We'll go on personal appearances, and I'll give him grief about his driving, or whatever - I'm just like the nagging wife. He'll go, 'Do you think John and Katherine do this?'" (Fanfare, date unknown)
Before Jeff became an actor, he worked as a therapist in a home for elderly people. But, even then, these people already recognized his talent. In Fanfare, Jeff says: "I was working with senior citizens here in Los Angeles and I started taking classes with two friends who were studying drama in Pasadena. All the old ladies kept telling me to go become a movie star. They said, 'Hollywood is right around the block.'" (Fanfare, date unknown)
