A new fun fact will be added frequently... If you have some magazine articles that contain fun facts about Bobbie, feel free to e-mail them to me. If you e-mail me, please do list the source and the date. (The date that is on the cover of that particular issue of the magazine, for instance.)

Soaps In Depth asked Bobbie about her most funny / embarrassing auditioning experience ever. Bobbie: "When I auditioned for Macy, and they brought me in [to meet] the producers, they said, 'This is Brad Bell, Billy Bell, Lee Bell, and Bill Bell, Sr.' The first thing I said was, 'Well, let's play FAMILY FEUD!'" (Soaps In Depth, July 4, 2000)

Did you ever wonder how Bobbie picks the songs for her albums? "It's kind of tricky, but one of the things I've learned is that you have to trust your instincts," she says. "Some of the songs that I end up fighting for are the ones other people might be a little skeptical of, but these songs usually end up becoming everyone's favorites once the album is complete." (Soaps In Depth, March 14, 2000)

Although this is not really a "fun" fact, I thought I would include it here, because it seems to have a happy ending: Bobbie's sister Sharon has survived two bouts with breast cancer. During these difficult times, Bobbie and her other three sisters helped Sharon get through this as much as possible. After Sharon was cured the second time, they had a big get-together at Bobbie's house. The five of them relived some moments from their childhood, while doing each others' hair and make-up, and many of the other things girls do when they get together. :) Bobbie now supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the foundation will benefit from the sales of Bobbie's new hair care line, "Simple Glamour." Please check out the index page of this website, as well as Bobbie's own website, for more details...

Bobbie and her husband David have been happily married since 1992. However, when they were still dating, they broke up several times. During one of the periods in which they were together, Bobbie bought a statue of Michelangelo's David, but they broke up even before it was delivered. When it arrived, Bobbie almost smashed it to pieces, but then decided to keep it anyway. Then, when David was working on a movie called "Of Mice and Men," he called her and they patched things up again. Time for Bobbie to take the statue out of the closet again... (Hill and Reisfeld, Behind the Scenes of the Bold and the Beautiful, 1994)

What is Bobbie most thankful for this year (1999)? "Of course, the health of my family above all else." (Soaps In Depth, November 23, 1999)

Soaps In Depth asked soap stars if they could be friends with their character in real life. Bobbie's answer: "Yeah, I think so, but I'd have to smack her if she cried for no reason." (Soaps In Depth, November 9, 1999)

Bobbie's trip to Europe with Ian Buchanan and Susan Flannery was quite an adventure. "The whole thing was a big comedy of errors," sums up Eakes. "First, we missed a flight and had to find someone to drive us to Stockholm," says Eakes. Some natives kindly offered the traveling soap stars the use of their van, which quickly devolved into another misadventure. "The van broke down," says Eakes. "We sat four hours on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and wound up getting to Stockholm at three in the morning. It was hysterical. We were laughing the whole time." On top of that, they all had some problems with all the protocols when they met the Princess but, eventually, everything turned out fine... (Soaps In Depth, October 12, 1999)

Autumn is the time of year that Halloween is on people's minds. Soap Opera Digest asked soap stars what their most embarrassing Halloween moment was. Bobbie said hers was when she and David were dressed as Elvis and Priscilla Presley. When some trick-or-treaters knocked on her door, Bobbie was wearing the wig for the costume. The kids thought they recognized her, and Bobbie was really flattered at first. However, she soon discovered that they thought she was Fran Drescher from "The Nanny!" (Soap Opera Digest, November 2, 1999)

Most people, including me, hate having to clean the house. Not Bobbie! Soap Opera Special asked Bobbie to complete the following sentence: "Most people would be surprised to know I like to..." Bobbie's answer: "Mop the kitchen floor!" (Soap Opera Special - Soap Opera Digest, Fall/Winter 1995)

When asked about the first time Bobbie met Jeff Trachta at CBS, she said: "I remember it exactly. I was in the dressing room with Darlene Conley when he walked in. (Back then, Jeff was there to audition for a part on the Young and the Restless.) All he said was "hi," but I said to Darlene: "I am going to marry that man one day." Well, she did, on the show. Twice, not counting Thorne and Macy's wedding that was interrupted by the police. (Hitkrant, 1994)

Speaking of marriage... Did you know Bobbie got married twice in real life? Well, she and her husband David decided it would be nice to renew their vows for their sixth wedding anniversary. From Soap Opera Weekly: "Originally, I wanted an Elvis impersonator to remarry us," Bobbie explains. "But one night we just happened to be driving around in a limousine [in Las Vegas] going to see a show and I asked the driver, 'Are there any wedding chapels around here?' David got nervous. He's already married and he still gets nervous - the typical male,' she says with a laugh." The driver took Bobbie and David to a chapel with a drive-through window, where they renewed their vows. (Soap Opera Weekly, August 4, 1998)
