Biography
of the builder's motorbike.
Now here is the tale of
a black Honda VTR 1000 Firestorm of the year 1998.
The bike came in a time,
when every day was grey and full of thunderstorms.
But after a time
everything went shiny, and all was good.
…Oops, sorry, wrong story.
The bike I purchased,
is a 3-1998'er, black with the red markings.
I modified nothing, yet,
but I purchased a BAGSTER, which is a harness, which fit around the fuel
tank, and has two hocks and two belts, which can hoop up to the bag, this is
also a great cover against scratches on your fuel tank.
It has a built-in rain
cover, and the bag I use, holds up to 25 litres, in the UK this system is known
as BAGLUX.
Next I bought a headlight
cover from POWERBRONZE,
which protects your headlight unit against stones and other hard particles,
which may damage it, I got it from MDI in Haren in the
Netherlands.
Then I purchased some side
bags from HELD, which come with rain
covers, these have a triangular shape, so they won't touch the exhausts, here
you have a simple drawing about, how I fitted the bags on the bike.

I use two tie-down
belts, wrap 'me around the bags, and tie the both ends together, and pull the
bags up until they are strapped nicely up, so they won't come off, hen you
travel at high speeds, I've seen some bags come off, and believe me, it don't
looks nice, all your stuff flying around the highway!
Next there's a luggage rack
from HEPCO & BECKER, and a
Journey II Top case, also purchased from MDI.
After the 24.000km service,
White Power front suspension springs
were fitted.
Now finally, LASER Carbon Oval High mounted race
exhausts were fitted, and a K&N
airfilter
