My FS9 Flightsim Picture gallery

To view how my flightsim setup evolved over time have a look at the four series of photo's :

1st setup with 2 PC's and 5 monitors, integrated with use for office work etc, October 2002

The challenge for the first construction was, to find a simple solution to use the workplace for quite different activities like office work, programming, computer supported shortwave listening and flight simulation.
The flexibility was reached by separating monitors support from the desk and using dfferent 'desktops' on different heights, see photos in <1st Setup>.

2nd Setup with 2 PC's and 7 monitors, optimized for thje PSS A320 pro, October 2003

To get a more 'sophisticated' flightsim set-up, office use and flight simulation use was totally separated, both in use of computers and the use of 'desktops', see pictures in <2nd Setup>.

3rd Setup with 2 PC's and 7 monitors, optimized for the PMDG 737NG, July 2004

One of the reasond that the PMDG 737NG was introduced was that it has one of the best Flight Management Computer implementations. I liked it so much that the setup was adapted to fit this plane as good as possible.
A large advantage of this set-up, with its software based panels, is that you can easily change it to fly with another type of plane, both payware and freeware. See the examples in <3rd setup>

4th Setup with
(a) 4 PC's and 10 monitors, optimized for the Flight1 ATR72-500, April 2005
(b) 4 PC's and 11 monitors, optimized for the PMDG B744 and MD-11, April 2008/9

To increase further the level of reality I composed from the components available in the Flight1 ATR package and later on also from the PMDG 747 and MD-11 package a full capatains + engines + first officer panel and more over added a yoke and pedals for the co-pilot seat, see photos in <4th Setup>,/font>
