This phone is the most used fieldtelephone of the German Wehrmacht during the second World War. It was used by the German soldiers, traffic controllers, police, higher Wehrmacht officers. It has been made of bakelite by Hagenuk. I have seen pictures of this telephone used on the battlefield, the dessert, army offices. Recovered Feldfernsprechers where also used by the Russian Army. They where easy to use and are from good quality. They also could be used in corporation with the German Tornister Empfanger B, also called Torn EB. I have in my militaria collection both. R.J. From other writings I can deduct it has been used by the dutch army after the WWII, so much for quality. |
