I did it, at last I got smart enough to have Front Page Express® load up a page to my server! Like wow man! and the hyperlinks to my MIDI SONGBOOK and my ONLINE SONGBOOK are also working the way they should! And there's music playing in the background as well, and a marquee telling you what song it is....
Anyway, let me tell you something about myself, I'm a guitarist and songwriter from the Netherlands. I've just turned fourty- one. I played in several local bands, the last one was called DJAM KARET. The name is in the native language of my parents who were born in Indonesia, it means 'rubber time'.....
About a year ago I decided to print out most of the songs I've written, it proved to be a very time consuming job to do, but it's also been a walk down memory lane. It gave me the opportunity to review some material and guess what? I even started to like some of the songs I've discarded long ago....
I made a few back up files and thought, oh what the heck, I've got 15MB on my homepage, so why not upload 4MB full of scores in GIF format and create my own ONLINE SONGBOOK. ?
It's a comforting thought to have your files locked away in a safe place in case your house catches fire, or your computer breaks down, but I also believe music is suposed to be shared with other people.
