Love At First Sight

 

Is there really such a thing as

love at first sight

like so many people claim there is

is it just another myth

invented by poets and playwrights

with too much imagination?

 

I would like to put those theories

to the test but the trouble is to find

a subject who is prepared to take the risks

that might be involved

whenever my insights are proven wrong

 

Well, I’m no expert in matters of the heart

and I don’t believe that I will ever be

so maybe I should

adopt a different strategy

because playing games of wait and see

didn’t get me very far
