This little pug(?) was caught on 26 march 2003, flying about in our house in the northern part of The Netherlands. Got it out of the freezer today (5 september 2003), and scanned it as it was. Wingspan 20 mm. There is a well defined black spot between the two bars on the hindwing.
In Skinner I don't find a matching species; could anybody help me identifying this one?
Bijgaand de scans van een tweetal foto's die we onlangs ontvingen. De dode vogel was in het bezit gekomen van een van de archaeozoologen van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Zelf bleken we niet in staat de vogel aan de hand van de foto's te identificeren. Wie kan ons helpen? De totale lengte van de vogel is circa 30 centimeter. Reacties graag naar ons e-mailadres.
Recently, an Archaeozoologist from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) received a dead bird. He made some pictures, and the scans are presented below.
