This guide informs you about aspects as location, history, number of inhabitants,

Dutch municipalities and boroughs, towns, villages and their flags, a very nice web-site by Gerard van der Vaart, who not only shows you all flags, but also has kept up to date very accurately details concerning the rearrangement of municipalities.
Dutch municipal heralds and other governmental heralds, a
website maintained by Ralf Hartemink from Wageningen. For every municipality also the older reorganizations are mentioned,
