An Du (born in 1963) graduated from Beijing University.
He is presently employed with the National Library of Beijing, where he oversees
the painting and calligraphy collection. He has been exhibiting his works since 1985.
With the six "China" cups, produced by IPA, An Du showed a touch of oriental
art, from the country with the finest porcelain: China.
He seizes his paint brush and paper, makes a rapid and decisive movement and observes.
The colors are full of life; the paper absorbs them without making them static.
It is here, says the master, that a work of art is born.
The pure marks generate nuances that change and develop, giving a soul to a picture.
The themes of the cups are classic: lotus flowers, birds in blue . .
and release a great sense of tranquillity.
The cups came in the regular gift box with coffee and a brochure.
Please note that the bottom inscription is red printed and that the set was also sold
in three gift boxes with two cups. |
