Many series of photographs that Giacomelli made after 1973 were based on poetry and in 1994-95 he made "La notte lava la mente" (The night washes the mind) after a poem by Mario Luzi (*).
In 1997 illy sponsored the "la notte lava la lente" photo exhibition at 4 galleries
(Photology in Milano; Galerie Agathe Gaillard in Paris; Photo & Co.in Torino and Galleria Minima Peliti e Associati in Rome).
On behalf of this occasion the Stati d'animo set with the inscription "illy collection 1997 for "la notte lava la mente" was released. Unlike the regular Giacomelli set, is this very limited edition (1000 pieces) not listed by illy!
