Twelve cities for the World cups set? Michelin (the French map company) complained that just copying a map on a cup had nothing to do with art and they proceeded against illy for the use of the Paris map. And yes, the cups had to be withdrawn from production and being destroyed. So, you can’t find the Paris cup and Madrid saucer listed by illy!
The amici sets were released with the Paris cup and Madrid saucer and not all the illy cups and saucers were destroyed as you can see on the picture beside! For the real collector this is really a must have!
