Musician and neo-futurist Marco Lodola was born in 1955 in Pavia. During the 1980's he founded Nuovo Futurismo and exhibited in the main European cities. Dancing people are a main item in his work and they come alive on this illy collection set named: Tazzine Ballerine
The pictures above shows some interesting prototype cups which did not make it into production. The one with the "relief" is the same as the one in the regular set, but the other one shows a complete different dance!
The 6 espresso cups, that were released as an illy collection set,
came in a regular gift box with coffee and a brochure.In the illy espresso version, only 5 cups were released. The golden one was not produced because they were not suitable for the washing machines that are used in restaurants and bars.
