Modus Operandi (cappuccino)

Joseph Kosuth was born 1945, in Toledo, Ohio. He is one of the pioneers of Conceptual Art and concerned with the mechanics of meaning in language, especially words used in various contexts.

The concept art of Kosuth tries to analyze the patterns of the intellect and explore the borders of art. The slight variations in the tones of the color of the letters and of the background, accompanied by the repetition of the motto Modus operandi, make this illy collection similar in many ways to a litany, chanted in muffled tones with subtile changes of voice that seem to have neither a beginning or nor an end.

The cappuccino cups came in three standard gift boxes with two cups, together with a brochure and coffee. The same ornamental motif also decorates the espresso version of this set and like the espresso version the bottom of the cups is painted in silver color.
