Central Saint Martins
This collection was created by two students from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. The collaboration between illy and Saint Martins College led to a competition among senior-year students. A prestigious international jury selected an idea by Ross Cooper and Neil Aitken, in which only the saucers were decorated. The college itself, simply known as “St Martins’”, is a unique place, our students work with a celebrated team of staff and feed on the vibrant atmosphere of Central London.
As you can see, there have been some experiments with tis set.
The shadow on the saucers has a different color. On the picture with the prototypes the shadow is much brighter and
I think it's a shame that the one on the upper left did not make it to production!
Both the cups and saucers of this set, that came in a regular gift box with coffee and a brochure,
