On April 20th 2002, in Ghent (Belgium) the hans painted Kounellis cup has been released. It was designed by the Greek artist Jannis Kounellis for his exhibition (April 21 - June 23) at the the SMAK Museum. Hand painted means that the artist "dipped" als the 3000 cups in black paint by him self, so all the cups are slightly different!
Unlike the other illy collection cups, on this cup the inscription is placed vertical.
The cup is signed, but not numbered. The number can be found on the special package that was made for the cup.
