For the first time since 2003 illy released a signed and numbered (art) collection cup for the Biennale in Venice.
Tobias Rehberger (Esslingen, Germany, 1966) designed this single cup to mark the 53rd International Art Exhibition. Rehberger was chosen to design the bar and restaurant inside the new exhibition building in the Biennale gardens and that's shows on the cup.
Rehberger has exhibited at the Biennale exhibitions of Venice and Berlin, Manifesta in Luxembourg, the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art and the Palais of Tokyo in Paris.
The cup that came in a little box, without brochure and coffee, was for sale at the Biennale and the e-shops on the illy websites for aprox €49,50.
