Some Francesco Clemente bar cups showed up on ebay already, but now the illy art collection cups have been released too.
They can be bought through several illy site in both the espresso and cappuccino version.

On October 17th there will be a big event in Amsterdam where illy will celebrate the 50 year anniversary of illy Café in The Netherlands.
All Dutch relations received a special for the occasion decorated espresso cup wich comes in a beautifull gift box,
together with an invitation for the event. The cup is in decorated in silver with the text "sinds 1961 in Nederland".

You might have read about the new Francesco Clemente illy art collection cups before. They will be released at the Galleria Illy which
will open in London on 12 September and run until 15 October 2011.
For the moment you can find a picture of the bar cups below. As soon as I have more information and pictures I will let you know.

I received a very interesting mail today about the new Kapoor cups. For those who bought the cups already, you might have noticed that
the single cup has the inscription "illy art collection" with beneath "Venezia", but the cups in the double set
do not have any inscription (first two picture below). But,...... on the pictures on the illy sites another cup can be seen!
Just take a look at the third picture!

As I mentioned a couple of days ago, a new illy art collection set will be released. This regular Anish Kapoor set contains
2 cups and saucers and it's for sale for € 70 at several illy sites.
But there is more news...there is another special Kapoor cup for sale for € 100! It's limited to 999 cups only and it has the inscription
illy art collection Venezia!

On may 31st, at the 54th International Art Exhibition la Biennale di Venezia, a new illy art collection set will be released!!!
Anish Kapoor was asked to create a new coffee cup and saucer for Illy. He mixed up forms and colours in his reknown playful way where cup and saucer catch and reflect light and are
stripped from their traditional aesthetics and forms. Dimensions become blurred and form an intriguing sculpture.
Coffee becomes art, art becomes coffee in this brand new signed and numbered Illy Art Collection 2011.
Anish Kapoor was born in Bombay in 1954. In the 70s he moved to London, where he now lives and works. In
the last thirty years his work has been shown in some of the world's most important museums and institutions.

November 2000 I started with the Illy & Amici collection site! I had some spare cups for sale, told a little about the
cups and I made the first announcement in the news section about six Brazilian artists who decorated
6 cups for the 10th Premio Brasil de Qualidade do Cafč para Espresso in Sao Paolo, Brasil.
Now it's 10 years ... and many many illy and amici cups later. Collecting these little works of art if a great hobby and
I hope to inform you about them for many more years!

It has been a while, but there is news about a new illy Art collection which will be released at the Galleria Illy in
Berlin next month. Tobias Rehberger, known for the 2009
single "Biennale" cup and the 2010 limited edition cans "Everything and Nothing", has designed this new series.
Galleria Illy will be located inside the KaDaWe department store in Berlin. Later on, October 1-24, Galleria Illy
will be hosted at Foundation Feyziye Mektepleri’s Galleria Isik Tesvikiye in Istanbul.
The "illy Art collection" set will be released in an espresso and cappuccino version, both with 6 decorated cups and saucers.
There will be three bar cups too. Not signed and numbered, but with the inscription "illy espresso Tobias Rehberger". These cups can be found on ebay already.

Only two more weeks to Valentines day, so how about trying to find something special for someone you love?
I added many new cups and I dropped most prices (some up to 30%!) on the 
page, so there should be somthing there that you might like!
One of the highlights I added is a
signed and numbered "illy collection" Spirali set by Roberta Pietrobelle, one of the most wanted sets ever made.
