4. Description last functions.

Silver Aerospace bv (formerly INCAT Aircraft Engineering bv), Haarlem:

Lead Engineer Stress for the Airbus A380 Inner Flap Project.

Lead Engineer Stress for the Dornier 728 Flight Test Project.

Stress calculations on the MRA4 Nimrod, as wel as design and certification is concerned and also on production concessions.
Being responsible for the stress calculation methods as a knowledge manager of Statical Stress Methods.

Allseas Engineering, Delft:

Designing and modifying stingers and other structural parts of pipelaying ships.
Extensive use was made of the FEM package Ansys (versions 5.4 en 5.5).
Together with the drawing office drawings were judged on their structural integrity.

Bluewater Engineering, Hoofddorp:

Designing an FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading system). Here an oiltanker is converted into a floating oil storage unit. This FPSO will be offloaded regularly by a tender tanker. These floating factories are subjected to huge external loads. In order to show that these structures are capable of withstanding these loads, they are calculated accurately by Bluewater and subsequently certified by the responsible authorities.
Designing a so-called Single Point Mooring (SPM) happens in a similar way. SPM's are buoys where oiltankers can be moored and then be filled with oil.
Support the design office. Perform stress calculations, by hand and using the FEM package ANSYS.
Other calculation programs such as Lotus (spreadsheet) and MathCad 7.0 were being used extensively.
Documenting the above mentioned calculations.

Stork Alpha Engineering, Beverwijk:

Designing the separatorplates of the fuel cell project of BCN (Brandstof Cel Nederland) with the help of computer models. Also reporting and verifying these models and their results. This was done by comparing the theoretical values with the test results.
The FEM package ANSYS has been used extensively (plastic calculations).

Stork Comprimo, Schiedam / RDM-Submarines, Rotterdam:

Making computer calculation models for the design of a new submarine and reporting the results.
The package NISA/DISPLAY3 was used here.

Fokker, Schiphol-Oost:

Designing Finite Element models and interpreting the results.
Supporting the drawing office in designing new and modified aircraft constructions.
Static and fatigue calculations.
Writing stress reports for the purpose of certification on behalf of the Dutch Airworthiness Authorities (Rijksluchtvaart Dienst).
Contributing to the design, the development and the certification of the Fokkers 100 en 70 jet family.
The above mentioned activities have been carried out mainly in the scope of the design process of the Fokkers F100 en F70 and the moving parts of several Airbus A300 wing versions.

5. Special skills.

Good knowledge of the English and German language. Vast experience in the usage of VAX computers and pc's (operating systems: VAX-VMS, DOS and Windows NT). Some experience in handling workstations (Silicon Graphics). Some experience in programming with Pascal. Working with WordPerfect, MS Word , MS Excel, MS Access, Lotus 1-2-3. Experienced FEM-modeller and interpreter for design and certification (programs : PATRAN, Display/NISA, ANSYS)

Fatigue calculations and static stress analyses.
