The Russian Championship of Sleddog Sports, december 2009. At first you will think about breeds like the Malamute and the Husky who are more suitable for this kind of sport, but in this Russian Championship two Dobermanns were high on the podium. Dmitriy Petrov with the Dobermanss Sant Kreal Dzjewel and S'Lihobor Leweit was again winner in the category "harness, 2 dogs" on short distance. This high score for dobermanns is not incidental in this sport. The dobermanns good constuction and drive make this breed well fitted for this kind of sport.

At 28 november 2009 it was Dobermannday at the Amsterdam Winner 2009. Best of Breed at this prestegious exhibition and with this the title "Winster 2009" (CAC/CACIB) was the very beautiful breed representative RAMONBURG'S DELILA. A female with a lot of charisma, very compact body with great substance and typical outline, long parralel head with correct stop and a lovely expression (The Winster). The Vice-Winster (res.CAC, Res.CACIB) was the brown Ciara Elite House with a compact body, rich substance and nice head type
Best male , Winner 2009 and CAC was for the best of the Veteran class. It was the nearly ten years old representative of the old beautiful breed type: VICTOR VINCENT VAN HET WANTIJ. A dog with a classical long wedge shaped narrow head and strong body.
Second best male, Vice-Winner (CACIB, Res.CAC), was the good looking Onassis v. Trokadero. Too bad, this dog did not show the movement you would expect of such an excellent built dog. More power in his movement and his destiny is a higher place.

You own yourself a pup and he or she is growing steadily and you enjoy all of this. Then there is a moment at which You notice something about the position of the ears (yes they do cetrainly grow). The ears seem to lead a life of their own. Some pups have one ear standing up while the other ear is hanging, some pups look like wearing a nun-cap and again other puts have ears that are standing completely upwards. Wrong! So we are going to do something about this.......
