Port Isaac

Port Isaac is the parish where John Archer Trevan moved to when he became a Customs Officer and married Anne Watts and inheritted the White House. Most of his offspring and their descendents stayed in the village. Most of the males became either Customs Officers or Doctors. Dr Frederick Trevan lived in Trevan House, which is one of the photos below.

In the 1990's I spent a weekend staying at the Slipway Hotel, right opposite the harbour entrance. The White House can be seen in one of the photos on their site which looks at Port Isaac from the sea. It is on the right (west) of the harbour.
