The Trevan entries are for William and Jane, who form part of my main tree of descendents from John Treveighen / Trevane / Trevan and Francis nee Moar.
All likely variants of spellings derived from the old family name of Treveighen are included in this file.
The known variants are
I searched the marriage registers from 1837 until 1900 and found nothing. The nearest names are Trevina (presumably a variant of Trevena) and Tremain.
The reason for checking this parish is because it is shown in the census returns as the birth place of at least one Trevains spouse and it also mentioned in at least one will.
The Barber family lived here after Eliza daughter of John and Elizabeth married John Barber in Bolventor.
Cornish Forefather Society note that there are letters of administration dated 22 Jun 1850 for a John Trevain, yeoman of Blisland, died 2 Oct 1842 whose wife was Elizabeth.
So does this mean there were no marriages or burials in these years, or that the sheets of paper were lost before they were bound into a book, or were they missed during the micro-fiching process? I only checked the dates on the earlier of the 2 fiche, since I am also searching everywhere for an elusive marriage in the 1745-55 period between Matthew Trevan and Elizabeth nee Stephens.

Bolventor is a modern parish which was created in 1846. It's name comes from the Bold Venture of establishing farmland on a high area of Bodmin moor. Prior to that the land lay in the parishes of Alternun and St Neot.
