If you live in the Netherlands and want to buy English products, there is a web shop available from EnglishBeers.nl who are based in Hengelo, Overijssel in the east of the Netherlands.
This is a new venture by friends of mine. They are importing the following range of products.
- Beer from the following breweries
- Black Sheep brewery who are at Masham in Yorkshire
- Croptons brewery who are at Pickering in Yorkshire
- Light taste ales and beers - a good place for you to start trying English beer if you are familiar only with the Dutch pils style of beer.
- Honey Gold ale
- Endeavour ale
- Two Pint - although this is described as a bitter, in my opinion is is not very bitter
- Bitters - if you have tried the lighter English beers and ales and like them and want to try a beer more like that sold from the pumps in typical English pubs, you are ready to try a bitter beer
- Two Pints bitter
- King Billy bitter
- Monkman's Slaughter
- Yorkshire Moors
- Stout - the best known stout in the Netherlands is probably Guiness, which comes from Ireland. But there are also some English stouts
- Preserves and chutneys from Bracken Hill Farm which is Elvington in Yorkshire
- Jams
- Curds
- Marmalades
- Chutneys
- English wine, mostly made from fruits other than grapes, from Lyme Bay Winery in Devon, close to the Dorset border
