Dear Bob,
Since receiving your letter and enclosures, I have not had time to fully study the contents until now.The information that I have received from a cousin .... England on the family, she has found, dates back to 1760 and there was a John Trevan in the family (1775-1850) who was the biggest tenant farmer in Sheviock.
My cousin states in the letter that she has found relations in Cornwall that we did not know about, and was going back to make further enquiries and said that she would send me a full reportwhen she had it all sorted out. When I get information I shall be in touch with you. In the meantime I have passed on your family tree and other matter to my brother Keith in Melbourne who has retired from the army and is interested in the research of the family.
I had a visit from John Trevan of Seymour, whom you were kind enough to inform that he would call, and he is going to do some search and will be contacting my brother, so perhaps sometime in the future we may be able to find out whether we may have come from the same family or not.
I'm enclosing a list of Trevans that my brother collected when he was in the UK recently, unfortunately when he was in Cornwall he was not able to make any dearch because of the time factor and was travelling with other people.
Hope to meet you on your next visit to Sydney and will certainly take up your invitation to call on you in Lismore.
Many thanks again
Many kind regards,
([signed]) Bill Trevan
