By the way I've just got off the phone with my Auntie Cherry (actually my Great Aunt) ... She did manage to give me my Father's paternal Grandparents names but no dates. My Great Grandparents were called William Ernest Cocking and Hettie Maria Cocking Nee Hall. William Ernest Cocking married Bessie (my Father thinks Alice) Crosscombe after the death of his first wife. William and Hettie had three children; Bernard James Cocking (my Grandfather), who married K (Kathleen or Katherine, known as Kit) Mary Harvey and had one son John, my father; Winifred Mary Cocking (known as Cherry), who married Frank (no surname sorry) and had one daughter Peggy (known as Maggie); the last son was called David Ernest Cocking.

Cherry tells me she has a photograph in the attic of when the 'Trevan's' came to William and Bessie's wedding. She promises to send her daughter up for it (and any others she can find) next week.
Great - can you see what you can do to persuade her to get copies made and for her permission to add them to the web site?

Talking of photos my father has found pictures of his mother and her father - something tangible at last!
Great - it seems like you're a natural at step 1 of family history research (ask the family!)
