Brief Description

Ann Trevane was born in St Germans on 9 Mar 1745 and baptised there on 20 Mar 1745. After she married lived in St Budeaux. Her brothers Matthew and William later both moved to this parish. Her husband, Peter Stephens, was a yeoman but illiterate. Their known children, except William, were all baptised at St Budeaux, which is one of the parishes not covered by the IGI. In 1788 Peter took a 7 year lease on a property in Outland, one of the properties rented from the St Aubyn family estate. The yearly rent was 6 pounds. In 1795 Peter made his mark on the Inventory of his brother-in-law's assets following Sampson's death.
