Alphabetical index

Brief Description

Elizabeth Trevane was baptised in St Germans on 6 Aug 1738, and is at 'generation 2' of the descendents of John and Francis Trev(eigh)an. She later married Samuel Goyne, a blacksmith, on 10 Jun 1765 also at St Germans. The couple remained in the parish where all their children except William were baptised. William was baptised at Menheniot on 19 Mar 1770. It is not known when or where Elizabeth died but it must have been before Jul 1782.

Samuel remarried to Sarah Web at Morval on 29 Jul 1782. The witnesses were John Pearce and Grace Dingle.

Edna Reynolds is one of their descendents who is actively researching her family history. She has provided me with more information than is currently included on this page.

Parish Register and Other Church Information

The family lived in at the parish of St. Germans, Cornwall, where all the information has been found.

From the IGI it would appear probable that a couple of her descendents returned to the parish of St Germans to each have a child baptised. These are not descendents through the best researched line of son Samuel (1768-1845).

Occupation Related Information

From information from another researcher, Samuel was a blacksmith.
