Will Trevan was born the second child and eldest son, at the family home in Carvath in Jul 1876, in the St Austell registration district.
His elder sister Annie died about a year later when she was aged 5, leaving him as the eldest child in the family. His father John, who was a Merchant Seaman, died at sea at the end of August 1882, close to Will's 6th birthday.
He moved to Fulham before the 1901 census, and he was working there as a carpenter and joiner. He married Marie there in the second quarter of 1904 and daughter Annie Louise was born later the same year. The family lived in Fulham, London, and from postcards that daughter Anne kept until her death, they lived at a variety of addresses between 1903 and 1931. Both the girls remained spinsters and in their later years lived together in St Austell.
Younger daughter Helene, known as Nellie or Nell, was the first to die in 1999.
Her elder sister Anne died on Saturday 30 Sep 2000, and was buried on 6 Oct 2000 in the church at Tywardreath. While her cousin 3 times removed, Alice Trevan, was looking through one of her books she found a card from Anne's father's funeral which read
