I am Mary Trevan and I am searching for my family history, especially for the Trevan (including Clark), Treliving (including Skelton) and Vanderband families who originated in Cornwall and moved to the Plymouth area of Devon. Older variants of the name Trevan include Trevane, Trevaine, Treveighen and the Trevean, Trevains, Trevehen families are possibly also related, but more research is required to be sure.
I am in the process of moving my web pages to http://members.home.nl/marytrevan so please update any links or bookmarks to use the new location.

There is also a brief summary of all my "Tre" names.

These pages are not so detailed, but includes my Henwood and Easton families in more detail than the other lines, and my aim in the long term is to give a more complete
view of all of my ancestors instead of providing a "one-name study" such I have done
here, and which Lynne Browning has done with the Treliving family book that she has produced.
Where Did My Ancestors Live?
The name Trevan originated in Cornwall, and the family migrated via Plymouth to at least 3 continents. The old spelling of Treveighan is probably derived from tre-byhan (little farm), but I have also come across it as 'homestead on the hill', but I do not know the source for that.
