Brief Description

William John's birth appears to have been registered twice - once as born 16 March 1867 at Black Lead in the district of Ross Creek and the other as born 1867 in Sebastopol, Victoria. In both cases the parents are given as John Trevan and Elizabeth Herring. From the Black Lead certificate, his father is given as John Trevan, Engineer, 32 years old , born in Cornwall, married in Ballrarat and his mother is given as Elizabeth Herring , 25 years old and born in London.

Their descendents in Queensland have a photograph of William John and Isabella taken in 1890.
