Brief Description of the Family

Philip was baptised son of William and Elizabeth nee Murley on 4 Mar 1704 at St Erth. He married Elizabeth Angear there on 18 Feb 1734, and they had 3 children baptised there. The marriage entry describes Elizabeth as 'of Mawgan'. Not much else is known of Philip Trevean except for what has been found from the Manor of Ludgvan Lease records.

In 1724 Philip Trevean was selected as one of the 'viewers of repairations' for the following year. Maybe he upset someone, for 2 years later he was up before the Court held at the Guild Hall for 'leaving of his house and rents out of repair; if not repaired by Michal. next the penalty of 40 ?'

He was buried at St Erth on 15 Mar 1742. Son William was buried later in the same year aged about 2. His widow Elizabeth remained in the parish and was buried there on 26 Dec 1777.
