Michael Anthony dropped in at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, CA last night to check out
Gary Cherone's new band, Tribe Of Judah. At the end of their set, Michael jumped up on stage,
hijacked Pat Badger's bass and the boys tore the packed house apart with Somebody Get Me A Doctor, which featured Michael on lead vocals!
Then Nuno Bettencourt joined the party to crank out a blistering cover of Led Zeppelin's Rock And Roll! If that wasn't enough for the
already euphoric crowd, Michael then got back up on stage with the 80's metal cover band Metal Shop
(featuring The Atomic Punk's David Lee Ralph on lead vox) for Unchained and Hot For Teacher!

The 2003 NAMM convention is all but a memory. Hundreds of fans stood in line at the Yamaha and St. Louis Music booths for their chance to meet the Mighty Michael Anthony. Check out the photos on madanthonycafe.com
"I always enjoy meeting and talking to the fans at NAMM. Thanks for coming out. You guys rock!"

RADIO 3FM 09.06-12.06 Arbeidsvitaminen
Dutch radioshow with a playlist of 26 songs featuring Van Halen's Jump at #2.
| This was the first single from 1984 and the band's first #1 hit! The song
was recorded on an Oberheim OBX-A keyboard and really introduced the world to Van Halen's keyboard-based
songwriting. Sharp-eared listeners will note that the main riff from Top of the World (from F.U.C.K.)
was written around the ending riff from Jump. Jump was certified Gold on 4/03/84 and remained at the top of
the charts for five weeks. |
