Zij gaven drie toegiften (You Really Got Me, Panama en When It's Love). Verrassend waren twee songs uit het solo-repertoire van Sammy Hagar - Eagles Fly (1987) en Deeper Kind Of Love (2000). Niet gespeeld zijn Van Halen hits als Runnin' With The Devil, Dance The Night Away en Hot For Teacher.

De Amerikaanse tournee van Van Halen duurt tot en met woensdag 29 september 2004. Voor de groep is dit hun eerste tournee in zes jaar. In 2005 wil Van Halen concerten geven in de rest van de wereld. (Content4You)

Van Halen rocked Greensboro Coliseum!

"All I have to say folks is whoever thinks that Edward has lost anything as far as his chops are concerned, will be sadly mistakened. Eddie was on fire. Very energetic, and did the classic jumps most of the night. He even broke out the old spinning kick that he does in the Jump video. Not bad for a guy with a jacked up hip. He was still sporting the new hair style. For some reason it looked a little better than the pics. Looks like he had it trimmed down a bit. They opened up with Jump which was not my choice of great openers. But the energy these guys put out made up for it. It was amazing. Everyone was on the money. I was a little nervous about Ed's guitar solo after hearing the reviews of the dress rehearsal. Eddie's solo was amazing. And it's different. It's as if he is playing all together different stuff. I cannot say enough great things about how friggin well the man played. He truly still reigns. Sammy worked the crowd and sang as great as he usually does. Mike was awesome too. So was Alex. As a matter of fact, Alex was like thunder. No neck brace either. Wolfgang was a no show in Ed's solo. It was also the loudest I have ever heard them play. They need to take it down just a touch. Eddie's tone was really nice. I was expecting it to be a little harsh ala Live At The Ten Spot, but it wasn't. Very brown indeed. Eddie wasn't still the whole night. No signs of being drunk. Big relief there. (-; Overall my only complaint would be the order of the songs. Opening with Jump, and closing with When It's Love is not my idea of the ideal setlist, but I still was blown away. I'm just bummed that it's over. No one in the place sat down the whole night. You could tell that the guys were overwhelmed by the audience response. They were having a lot of fun up there. Eddie didn't play a single boinker. And he made it look like it was a walk in the park. Smiling the whole time like he usually does. Great night. Glad I was there for sure. Hope they filmed this one for sure."

Tuesday June 01, 2004 The Van Halen News Desk was privileged to behold something that the world has not seen in nine years:
Edward, Sammy, Alex, and Mike blowing out a full-length set of the music that made them legends. The final dress rehearsal of the most anticipated tour of the year was held before only a couple of hundred people under the strictest security at a closed Sony Studio in Southern California. The staging was spectacular. The band was tight and looked like they enjoyed everything about the experience.

Edward spent most of the evening with his orangeburst Peavey featuring a refinement on the cord management device seen throughout the III tour but broke out his 5150 Kramer during Humans Being to wild audience response. The biggest surprise of all was watching Eddie sit down on the stage during his solo, recline flat onto his back as he played 316, and then listening to the music continue to fill the auditorium even as his hands fell from the guitar. The mystery was solved when his only son, the child for whom the piece is named, Wolfgang Van Halen strode into the spotlight playing it on a striped guitar! Dad then jumped back in to solo over the rhythm Wolfie was laying down. When they finished, Eddie held up Wolfie's hand and declared: "This is the future!"
