RADIO 3FM 09.06-12.06 Arbeidsvitaminen
Dutch radioshow with a playlist of 20 songs featuring Van Halen's Runnin' With The Devil at #11.

| This was Van Halen's second single. The horn sound at the beginning of the song was created by a collection of real car horns mounted in a box and powered by two car batteries. The horns were taken from an Opel owned by Alex, a Volvo owned by Edward along with horns from a Mercedes Benz and a Volkswagen. The horn sound was slowed down and recorded backwards. |

It's always entertaining to hear from Steve Lukather. This time he wanted to update me (melodicrock.com) on his solo Christmas album, due out (obviously) later this year. The album features a new guest guitar spot from Edward Van Halen. Steve says: "It's all done. Eddie did great as did all my friends. VERY cool record. Fun and humour and also great playing and arrangements. You'll dig it!" The album Santamental includes guests like Steve Vai, Edward Van Halen, Slash, Edgar Winter, Trevor Lukather, Simon Phillips, Scott Hamilton and Lenny Castro.

Edward Van Halen on Steve Lukather's new album

"Van Halen will be back. It's just there are certain things... kind of dictated us taking a little bit more time off than we actually wanted to. Because you know, of course, the most important thing to all of us is getting out there and playing for the fans. Because that's been the life's blood of this band for the last, God... next year is going to be 25 years. But Van Halen will be back. So tell all the Van Halen fans not to worry." Michael Anthony
