Edward Van Halen outside the Disneyland hotel.

--- Ok, so it's been a few months since this pic was taken (end of October 2002)... I just so happened to find this forum today, and thought you all might like to see a relatively recent pic of Ed.

Funny thing actually, cause it was early morning on a Sunday outside the Disneyland hotel, and this disheveled person comes wandering by my sister and asks for a cigarette and a light... she was hesitant cause she thought he was a bum... she hooked him up, and he wandered off... I told her "was it cool giving a smoke to Eddie Van Halen?"... So then she freaked out (you can still see the cigarette in his hand in the pic), and we caught up with him and asked for pic. He was pretty cool, but I could tell he really didn't wanna stop to get his photo taken... ---

Ik trof een aantal verontruste e-mailtjes aan in m'n mailbox over geruchten die op internet circuleren dat Michael Anthony geen deel meer zou uitmaken van de band Van Halen.

Persoonlijk geloof ik daar helemaal nul komma nul van. Er is me verzekerd dat we op korte termijn op muzikaal vlak iets moois kunnen gaan verwachten van Van Halen, alleen in welke hoedanigheid en met welke zanger blijft nog een vraagteken. Er is meer dan genoeg materiaal voor een album bij de broertjes Van Halen aanwezig. Wel is het in de loop der jaren opgebouwde krediet bij de fans aardig aan het inslinken door de gekozen manier (geen dus) om naar de media (de fans) toe te treden. Nog even geduld hebben dan maar... als je dat nog kunt opbrengen tenminste... ik kan de site altijd nog omdopen naar die over het paard getilde kabouter Jamai... The Dutch Jamai Web Site... Gggrrr!
