Van Halen soundclip in Back to the Future.
This Van Halen soundclip, which originally appeared in the 1984 film The Wild Life, appears in Back to the Future when Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) travels back to 1955, and pays a visit to his sleeping father (Crispin Glover). McFly, wearing a radiation suit, pulls out a cassette tape labeled Edward Van Halen, places it into a Sony Walkman, straps the headphones onto the unknowing ears of his science fiction-loving Dad and cranks it up! (USA 1985 - 116M)

In de lijst met De 2000 Beste Platen Allertijden die uitgezonden wordt op Radio 2 van 25/26 december 24.00 uur tot 31 december 23.58 uur vinden we Van Halen's Jump en Runnin' With The Devil op respectievelijk plaats 246 en plaats 359. Michael Jackson's Beat It met Edward Van Halen's gitaarsolo staat op plaats 455.

Joohh! Na enkele zware weken is de verhuizing zo goed als achter de rug. Pppfff... wat een klus! M'n computer is weer geïnstalleerd, alles werkt weer. Meteen het net maar even afgespeurd naar wat Van Halen nieuws van de afgelopen weken. Veel is het niet maar ik wil het je ook niet onthouden. Een groet van Michael Anthony en David Lee Roth haalde het nieuws door een zaak aan te spannen tegen zijn vroegere bandleden. Het lijkt er op dat hij hiermee definitief de deur voor een reünie dicht gooit...

"Christmas time is just about here and in looking back, I have to say 2002 has been a pretty rocking fucking year! It was great to get back out on the road with Sammy Hagar & The Waboritas, a blast doing some gigs on the Sam & Dave tour and even more fun re-forming Los Tres Gusanos for a few nights down in Cabo San Lucas. Most of all I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone for coming out to all the shows and joining in on all the bashing good times. It's been waaaaaaayyy too long!!! Here's to making 2003 twice as kick ass!"
