I found these copulating stick insects in Bandipur Tusker Trail Jungle Camp, South India, at an altitude of about 1000 m, and still hardly able to move because of the cool early morning temperature. I do not know what species this is. The body length of the female was about 9 cm, the male was about half this size. Both have wings. Notice the yellow neck of the female, the male also had this. I quickly took a picture but unfortunately I was not able to study this species any further, as we were just in the process of leaving.
