Red figures are disturbed by rather high down-times. Horns Rev needed new gearboxes in 2003-2004.
Nysted stood idle for some month's in 2007 because of a broken transformer station.
The Dutch project Noordzeewind also suffered gearbox exchanges in 2007-2008.

5. Status The Netherlands
|
Capacity of Offshore Wind Energy should be 678 MW by the year 2014 (Target Ministry of Economic Affairs)
NEARSHORE: two near-shore projects, totalling 16 MW, are operational.
Nearshore in planning:
1. WP IJsselmeerdijk In de inner-lake IJsselmeer, some 800 meter from the dike North of Medemblik utility NUON and private developer WCI are working on a near shore Wind Farm of some 100 MW.
2. Windfarms Westermeerdijk and Noordermeerdijk Three rows of 25-30 turbines each in 4 meter water, 300-600 from the coastline Info at: Noordoostpolder
---------------------------------- Operational Offshore:
1. OWEZ (North Sea, Offshore Windpark Egmond aan Zee) Utility NUON and Oil Company Shell, working together in "Noordzeewind", completed 108 MW (36 * Vestas V 90) in the North Sea, 14 km off Egmond in winter 2006. Noordzeewind and Annual report 2007: Jaarverslag Noordzeewind 2007
2. North Sea, Q7 WP E-concern and Utility Eneco realised 60 Vestas V 80-2.000 turbines in the North See, some 23 kilometre off IJmuiden, operational Spring 2008.

Future planning Up till november 2009 sseven developers submitted applications for building licenses concerning 18 Wind Farms (each 300-500 MW, with a maximum of 50 square km each) in the North Sea. Six final building permissions have been issued so far (total 1.900 MW). This november the candidates have to compete in a tender for a maximum of 950 MW, that will be settled in May, 2010.
